Porsche Delivers 178,532 Cars Worldwide In First Nine Months As Global Sales Fall 16%

German luxury sports car manufacturer Porsche AG delivered 178,532 vehicles to customers worldwide during the first nine months of 2026, representing a 16 percent drop compared to the 212,509 units recorded in the same period last year.
The Stuttgart-based automaker cited a persistently challenging market environment, shifting macroeconomic conditions, and major product transitions across its lineup as the main factors influencing the delivery results through the third quarter of the year.
North America retained its position as the Volkswagen-owned brand’s largest regional market with 56,088 vehicle deliveries, down 13 percent due to the end of production of the 718 model line, while sales across European markets outside Germany fell 11 percent to 44,949 units.
In its home market of Germany, Porsche delivered 20,954 cars to buyers, reflecting a 7 percent decrease, while sales across overseas and emerging-market territories dropped 19 percent to 35,048 vehicles.
China experienced the steepest regional downturn during the period, with Porsche deliveries dropping by 33 percent year-on-year to 21,493 vehicles in the world’s largest automotive market, down from 32,195 units delivered during the first nine months of 2025.
The iconic 911 continued to strengthen its position in the brand’s lineup, recording 12 percent growth in global deliveries during the first nine months of 2026. Porsche said demand was driven by strong customer interest in exclusive GTS, Turbo, and GT variants.
With 59,586 (-2%) deliveries, the Cayenne SUV retained its status as Porsche’s best-selling model line globally, supplemented by 7,002 units of the all-electric Cayenne, while deliveries of the Macan totaled 51,025 (-21%), including 23,029 examples of the fully electric version.
Deliveries of the 911 reached 42,217 (+12%), and the 718 Boxster and 718 Cayman recorded 3,291 deliveries (-79%), while deliveries of the Panamera and Taycan reached 13,714 (-35%) and 8,699 units (-31%), respectively, in the first nine months.
“This high share of our top derivatives, particularly within the 911 range, highlights the exceptional appeal of our brand,” says Matthias Becker, Member of the Executive Board for Sales and Marketing at Porsche AG.
“Our customers are deliberately choosing the exclusive and most emotionally engaging versions of our sports cars. This further strengthens our unique position, enabling us to serve both the sporty premium and sporty luxury segments.”
