Tesla May Soon Begin Accepting Orders For Its Humanoid Robot

Published

on

Tesla hasn’t confirmed an Optimus waitlist despite rumors of a December launch. Elon Musk refuted claims of a consumer ordering window that month, and no official details on pricing or reservation fees exist.

As of this writing, Tesla has not verified the existence of an Optimus waitlist. The current speculation originates from reports by Alaoui, which identified the Humanoids Summit as a potential launch window without citing official Tesla sources.

While Elon Musk’s recent response clarifies that consumers will not be able to place formal orders in December, it does not explicitly rule out alternative sign-up methods or non-binding waitlists. Furthermore, reports suggesting a specific allocation split between commercial and individual buyers remain unconfirmed, as no official documentation regarding the distribution strategy has been released by Tesla.

Tesla has not confirmed a $20,000 price for Optimus; this figure remains an unverified estimate, and no official pricing has been released.

Elon Musk targets a late 2027 release for the Tesla Optimus, pending improvements to its AI, battery, and design. While reports suggest the V3 will be the first model available, this remains unconfirmed, and Tesla’s history of delays warrants caution regarding these projections.
