7 Tips On How To Safely And Properly Pack Loads In Your Car

A lot of people are ignorant of the fact that there are proper ways of packing loads into a vehicle. You just don’t throw in any load wherever you want into your car.
So, should how you pack loads in your car bother you? You know the answer already; yes it should bother you. All loads does not come with the same size, shape and weight, hence, how you pack them into the car should matter.
Loads properly packed in a car doesn’t just ensure the safety of the driver and passengers, it also improve comfort of your passengers.
Since you now know that how you pack loads in your car can affect safety and comfort of those in your car, let’s take a look at the proper ways to pack loads into your vehicle.
1. Ensure your car is healthy enough to bear the loads you want to pack.
This should be the first thing to consider before loading your car; safety first. Let’s use this scenario as an example: You don’t load your 2004 Toyota Camry that has bad tyres sandwiched with bad suspension with 3 bags of rice, one 12.5kg gas cylinder filled with gas and then pack your back seats with 4 hefty men.
The 2004 Camry with faulty suspension and bad tyres might not make it through the journey because it’s unfit to bear such loads.
2. You should avoid carrying unnecessary loads.
Loads that does not really matter you go along with should simply be dropped.
3. Take time to carefully pack the loads.
You should avoid being a fan of rushing and eleventh hour packing.
4. Ensure the loads are evenly balanced.
The loads you pack into your car should be evenly distributed so as to ensure a balanced car while driving.
Heavier items should be kept as close to the center as possible so your car will handle well.
5. Don’t load your car in a way your vision as a driver will be impaired.
Always endeavour not to block your rear vision by racking up items too high.
6. Ensure you car jack, wheel spanner, fire extinguisher, C-Caution and spare tyres are all accessible in case of emergency when they are needed. This will save you the stress of unpacking what you’ve already parked and packing again.
Some times when the load is much, you need to unload some items to make jacking easy to make jacking the car easy when it comes to tyre change.
7.Be aware that a heavily loaded car trunk may cause the back of the car to lean downwards, This will lead to your headlamps to tilt too high which will lead to visibility reduction at night.
Do well to properly adjust the headlamps slightly downwards on order to ensure clear visibility.
