The Toyota-Murtala Mohammed Airport Road link bridge has reopened to traffic after being closed for 11 months.

The Lagos State government announced the closing of the bridge on January 10, 2021, following fire that damaged portion of the bridge after diesel-laden tanker burst.
After six months of closure, repair work on the damaged bridge began, and it was scheduled to reopen to traffic by the end of September, but the government postponed the reopening to complete more work.
