The all-new 2024 Mercedes-Benz E-Class All‑Terrain Wagon has celebrated its world premiere at the IAA Mobility in Munich, completing the E-Class family, following the launch of the Sedan and the Estate model.
Compared to the conventional E-Class Estate, the All-Terrain model of the E-Class is larger only in terms of height, thanks to a standard AIRMATIC single-chamber air suspension that provides up to 46 mm more ground clearance.
The off-road-focused All-Terrain model of the E-Class comes standard with 235/55 R 18 on wheels measuring 8 J x 18 (18-inch wheels), but 19- and 20-inch sizes are available as options.
On the outside, it features distinctive front and rear bumpers, as well as the high‑gloss chrome underride-guard-look paneling. But the most eye-catching feature at the front is the SUV-style, twin-louvre grille in Iridium Silver with a star integrated in the centre.

Luggage capacity of the E-Class All-terrain can be expanded from 615 to 1,830 litres, and from 460 to 1,675 litres in the plug-in hybrid model, with the rear seats down.
Inside, the All-Terrain comes with the Mercedes MBUX Superscreen infotainment display like the setup available in the 6th-generation sedan model.
To enhance off-road driving experience and for better visibility of the surrounding terrain, there are also off-road screen and a “transparent bonnet” – as part of the 360° camera.
Like in the sedan, the new E-Class All-terrain’s digital dashboard Super-screen is pre-loaded with third-party apps such as Angry Birds, TikTok and Zoom, the latter can be used by driver for video conferencing while the car is parked.
All-terrain will be available in a diesel, petrol and plug-in hybrid version. The E 450 gets a 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six that is connected to a mild-hybrid system. It puts out 375 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque, allowing a 60 mph in less than five seconds.
The price of the 2024 Mercedes-Benz E-Class All-Terrain hasn’t been revealed, but it is expected to be priced higher than the current E450 4Matic All-Terrain Wagon that starts at $71,250. It will start arriving in dealerships from the first quarter of 2024.
