Ford Has Stated That It Does Not Intend To Make The Mustang Entirely Electric

Ford has confirmed that it has no plans to turn its iconic Mustang into an all-electric model. According to information from the specialized Motor1 portal, Mustang will continue to use internal combustion engines after 2030.

Although Ford previously considered the possibility of an electric Mustang, the idea has apparently been abandoned. Ford CEO Jim Farley said last year, “One thing I can promise you is that we will never produce an all-electric Mustang.”

The decision comes at a time when sales of fully electric cars are not growing at the expected rate, especially in the American market, which has forced manufacturers to reconsider their electrification strategies.

All fans of the automotive industry and Ford know very well that the name has been somewhat abused by the Mach-E model. The electric SUV version of the Mustang has achieved decent results so far, but not so good as to call into question the survival of the real, iconic Mustang.
