Aston Martin Vantage To Begin A New Chapter
The modern Aston Martin Vantage is almost ready for the third round. It seems that the Vantage mainly continues where the 2018 generation left off.
In 2005, Aston Martin revived the Vantage name for the little brother of the DB9, and the successor to that first ‘ modern Vantage’ was released at the end of 2017. Now it’s almost time for the third 21st-century Vantage, although it probably won’t be as new as it seems. Last spring, the car appeared camouflaged, and we mainly saw familiar shapes.
Aston Martin will probably go, just like with the DB12, for a thorough further development of the predecessor. In any case, an important change is already in the pipeline, which was unmissable with the camouflaged Vantage. It gets slightly larger, with more rearward headlights. A nose that makes him look a little more like his bigger brother. After all, the relatively small headlights of the outgoing generation were not to everyone’s taste.
Unlike the earlier Vantages of this century, the new one no longer has a V12 in its nose. It remains with the V8, again, a choice that we previously saw with the DB12. The DB12 proves that the 4.0 biturbo V8 from Mercedes-AMG has more than enough to compensate for the lack of the V12. It has 680 hp, almost 150 hp stronger than the DB11 with V8. The Aston Martin Vantage is probably also in for a nice power spurt. The curtain rises on the new Aston Martin Vantage on February 12, the day that the F1 team also shows its new battle weapon.
