Audi Set To Compete With The S-Class Maybach With The A8 L Horch Edition
Among the ultra-luxury sedans out there, the only representative from Germany to rival the Bentley Flying Spur and Rolls Royce Ghost is the S-Class Maybach. That is about to change soon as a new kid on the block will step out of the shadows in the form of an Audi A8 L Horch Edition. Spy photos of the ultra-luxury car were spotted testing in Sweden.
A little history about Horch, Horch was one of the four carmakers, including Audi, which merged in 1932 into a giant called Auto Union. Although, Audi is not saying anything but this new version will definitely be made. The A8 L Horch will be available with VW’s W12 6.0-litres that will output 600hp. An option V8 engine with a mild-hybrid may be added. Both engine options will be fitted with a Quattro all-wheel-drive system. From looks, it will offer more legroom for rear passengers as the rear door are huge. In addition, other visual modifications will allegedly include unique wheels and possibly a two-tone paint job.
Equipment and interior details of the A8 L Horch are not known but expect the latest tech to be fitted. The A8 Horch will be the most powerful Audi yet and we are excited that the Germans are responding. The A8 Horch is expected to debut late this year, around the same time as the facelifted A8 and S8.
