Audi Unveils The Monstrous 627 Hp 2025 RS Q8 Performance
Meet the Audi RS Q8 Performance: a brutal 640 hp sporty top version of the Q8, which catapults its spacious 2,200 kilos to a speed of 100 km/h in just about 3.5 seconds.
The Audi Q8 went under the knife in September last year. The updated Q8 was presented with various powertrains and even debuted directly as the SQ8 TFSI. The Audi SQ8 TFSI is now downgraded to sub-topper. From now on, there is also an RS Q8 and it will immediately be presented as a Performance. So even more power.
Before the Audi Q8 went under the knife, the RS Q8 was good for 600 hp. This brand new Audi RS Q8 Performance has a V8 with two turbos, just like the RS version before the facelift, but this time the eight-cylinder pumps out 640 hp and 850 Nm. Audi’s largest and sportiest SUV with combustion engines completes the 0-100 sprint in just 3.6 seconds. You can bet that this scene is accompanied by an intense sound, as the RS Q8 also benefits from a special and lightweight exhaust system. The regular top speed is 250 km/h, but this can be optionally increased to 305 km/h.
Shifting is done using the well-known eight-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission, and of course, Quattro all-wheel drive is standard again, as is a limited-slip differential. This was part of an optional package for the facelift of the non-Performance version of the RS Q8. The Audi RS Q8 Performance has adaptive air suspension that allows the ride height of the sporty top version to vary by 9 centimetres. Four-wheel steering is standard, as are active roll stabilization and a ceramic braking system.
On the outside, the Audi RS Q8 Performance distinguishes itself from its more modest motorized brothers and sisters with its honeycomb grille with black frame, rear bumper with integrated diffuser and two large oval exhaust tailpipes. The RS Q8 Performance drives its miles on 22-inch ten-spoke wheels. 23-inch slippers are optionally available, but there is more. Audi also supplies 23-inch wheels that are extra light, resulting in a weight saving of twenty kilos. Unsprung weight, of course.
