BMW Group Buys Performance Specialists, ALPINA
German automotive Giant, the BMW Group, officially buys Alpina Burkard Bovensiepen GmbH + Co. KG (ALPINA brand).
Alpina, officially founded on 1 January 1965, is known for creating high-performance versions of BMW and Mini cars.
For over half a century, BMW AG and ALPINA Burkard Bovensiepen GmbH + Co. KG have worked closely with one another.
As per that agreement reached, Alpina products will still be pre-assembled on BMW production lines until 2025.
German Ministry of Transport recognises Alpina as an automobile manufacturer, in contrast to other performance specialists.
German automotive Giant, the BMW Group, has welcomed a new addition to its portfolio, as the ALPINA Burkard Bovensiepen GmbH + Co. KG (ALPINA brand) becomes part of the company.
For over half a century, BMW AG and ALPINA have worked closely with one another, with the latter known for creating high-performance versions of BMW and Mini cars.
As per the agreement reached between the two German automobile manufacturers, ALPINA products will still be pre-assembled on BMW production lines until 2025 when the current ALPINA vehicle programme ends.

“Acquiring the trademark rights will allow us to shape the long-term course of this brand steeped in tradition. We are delighted to welcome the ALPINA brand to the BMW family,” said Pieter Nota, member of the Board of Management responsible for Customer, Brands and Sales.
Andreas Bovensiepen, co-managing director of ALPINA Burkard Bovensiepen GmbH + Co. KG, explains :

2021 was the most successful year in the history of Buchloe-based ALPINA Burkard Bovensiepen GmbH + Co. KG.
