BMW Group Delivered A Record 636,606 BMW, Rolls-Royce And MINI Vehicles In First Quarter - autojosh

BMW Group had its best first quarter (January-March) sales in 2021.

Delivered 636,606 BMW, MINI and Rolls-Royce vehicles to customers worldwide.

BMW brand delivered 560,543 vehicles to customers worldwide.

The Rolls-Royce brand deliver 1,380 vehicles (62%) worldwide.





A total of 74,683 (16.2%) MINI vehicles were delivered to customers.

BMW Group achieved a new all-time high for the first quarter by delivering a total of 636,606 BMW, MINI and Rolls-Royce vehicles to customers worldwide (+33.5%).

All BMW Group brands, including BMW and Rolls-Royce, were able to record sales growth in all markets during the January-March period.

BMW brand delivered 560,543 vehicles to customers (+36.2%). The main contributors to this sales are the X models, BMW 5 Series and the BMW 3 Series.

The new Ghost and the Cullinan SUV allowed the Rolls-Royce brand to deliver 1,380 vehicles (62%) worldwide. A total of 74,683 (16.2%) MINI vehicles were delivered to customers.

In a statement, Pieter Nota, a member of the Board of Management of BMW AG responsible for Customer, Brands and Sales, said :





“We continued our growth momentum in the first quarter of this year, selling more vehicles than ever before in this period. This all-time high in sales underlines our ambitious growth targets for the year,”

According to Nota, this massive sales was boosted by its electrified vehicles. Nota continued :

“Our sales performance was boosted by strong demand for our electrified vehicles, in particular. In the past three months, we doubled our global sales of electrified vehicles compared to the same period last year.

This puts us on track to deliver more than 100,000 fully-electric vehicles this year, with at least a million electrified vehicles on the roads in total by the end of this year,”
