BMW has confirmed that it has achieved record sales in the United States in 2025, for the third year in a row, while Audi faces a marked drop in demand in the same market.

According to the data of the German company, BMW sold 388,897 vehicles in the United States throughout the year 2025, which represents a growth of 4.7 percent compared to the previous year.

A total of 113,512 cars were sold in the fourth quarter of 2025, which is 3.4 percent less than in the same period a year earlier, Wirtschaftswoche reports.

German companies are under the attack of American tariffs on car imports, but BMW is in a more favorable position compared to the competition because a large part of the vehicles for the American market is produced locally.

The factory in Spartanburg, in the US state of South Carolina, is the largest production facility in the global network of BMW.

In contrast, Audi recorded a significant decline in sales in the United States. During 2025, 164,942 vehicles of this brand were sold in the USA, which is 16 percent less than the year before.

The decline was particularly pronounced in the fourth quarter of 2025, when Audi sales fell by 36 percent to 36,233 vehicles.
