Geely Launches New 'Geely Galaxy' Brand, Set To Launch 4 Hybrids, 3 Electric Vehicles In Two Years - autojosh

On February 6, Geely announced that its in-house AI model and DeepSeek’s R1 model have successfully integrated, marking a pivotal development in smart vehicle technology. This innovative advancement will not only transform human-computer interaction but also facilitate a sophisticated intelligent driving system, significantly enhancing the user experience in smart cars. Additionally, this collaboration aims to broaden the use of AI technology within the automotive sector.

The next phase for Geely involves conducting a distillation process to train its Xingrui vehicle control AI model utilizing DeepSeek R1. Distillation is a training technique where the outputs from a larger, more complex AI model are leveraged to create and refine a smaller model.

Geely revealed its Xingrui AI model on January 11, calling it “the first self-developed large-scale AI model with comprehensive applications within the global automotive industry.” The Xingrui model encompasses three main components: language, multimodal, and digital twin.

Accelerated application of advanced artificial intelligence

As part of the “Smart Geely 2025” strategy, the company announced the accelerated implementation of new AI technologies within its automotive industry. Geely is following trends in cloud computing and artificial intelligence to enhance the competitiveness of new energy vehicles (NEVs), not only by improving performance but also by personalizing the driving experience. As part of this strategy, Geely will intensify the application of advanced AI solutions, including digital chassis and intelligent driving systems.

Global success

In January 2025, Geely sold 266,700 vehicles, representing a monthly growth of 27% and an annual growth of 25%, while sales of NEV models recorded an impressive growth of 84% compared to the same period last year.
