Ekiti Rep Celebrates Christmas With Constituents, Distributes 14 Vehicles, 60 Motorcycles, 58 Sewing Machines (PHOTOS)
Hon. Omowumi Olubunmi Ogunlola, House of Rep member representing Ekiti Central Federal Constituency II, empowers constituents with 14 vehicles.
She also distributed 60 motorcycles, 58 sewing machines, 40 generators, 20 grinding machines, 10 wheel chairs and 12 mowers.
House of Rep Member representing Ekiti Central Federal Constituency II, Hon. Barr. Omowumi Olubunmi Ogunlola, has distributed 14 vehicles, 60 motorcycles, 58 sewing machines, 40 generators, 20 grinding machines, 10 wheel chairs and 12 mowers to her constituents.
In addition to the empowerment tools, the Federal lawmaker also gave out bursary awards to 100 students and doled out cash to 100 widows to help them in their businesses.
In addition, Hon. Ogunlola also officialy commissioned six solar boreholes in Ijero-Ekiti, Araromi-Ekiti, Aramoko-Ekiti, Ikogosi-Ekiti, Iwaji-Ekiti and Ido-Ile Ekiti.
Ogunlola also handed over police post built by her in Ikoro-Ekiti to the community and handed over the keys of a brand new house in Ijero-Ekiti to Iya Omowe whose house was destroyed by wind storm.
Speaking while distributing the items to the beneficiaries in Ijero-Ekiti, Hon. Ogunlola said the empowerment programme is aimed at job creation and skill development in order to alleviate poverty and improve the total well-being of her constituents.
She implore the beneficiaries to envision better tomorrow by making continuous efforts to turn their dreams to reality.
According to her “I want to use this medium to congratulate all beneficiaries and advise them to use this opportunity to make informed decision and implement change in their own lives and the lives of other people.”
“I want you to use this empowerment program as a duty to personally develop yourself. This is because at the end of the day the best thing you can bring to any environment is YOU.”
“I want to emphasis that beneficiaries should use the items given to them to create more jobs. It would also serve as means of livelihoods to the other constituents.”
Some of those who received the items thanked Hon. Ogunlola for remembering them, particularly at this period of coronavirus that has put many people out of business.
While commending her for her quality representation, the people promised to always support her in her political endeavour.
