First customer-ready Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 ultra-luxury SUV rolls off assembly line.

Private jet-like Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 will compete against Rolls-Royce Cullinan and Bentley Bentayga.

Pricing hasn’t been revealed yet, but it is expected to have a price point in the $200,000 to $300,000 range.

The first customer-ready Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 SUV has rolled off the assembly line nearly a year after the company unveiled what it calls “the peak of luxury.”

Production of the ultra-luxury Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 SUV began last month at Mercedes-Benz U.S. International plant in Alabama.

The GLS-based SUV is the newest addition to the Maybach range and the first mass-produced SUV to wear the luxury badge.

It is designed to compete against ultra-luxury Sports Utility Vehicles (SUVs) like the Rolls-Royce Cullinan and Bentley Bentayga.

On the outside, there’s a Maybach-grille, Maybach logos and the Mercedes-Benz star on the hood.

Open the rear-doors and the SUV lowers it and swings out an illuminated running boards to make for a more graceful entry or exit.

Among its standard luxury interior features are heated and ventilated massage seats; an electronic panoramic sliding sunroof with an opaque roller blind and a seven-inch tablets.

Other features includes wireless charging station; heated and cooled cup holders and Rear-seat options like fixed center console, a folding table and a refrigerator.

Add these to the range of normal GLS features like the Apple CarPlay; Android Auto; a 64-color ambient lighting system; nine USB ports and a Burnmester sound system.

Powering the GLS 600 is a 571 horsepower hybridized power train that takes the SUV from zero-to-60-mph in 4.8 seconds. It has an electronically limited top speed of 130 mph.

Mercedes hasn’t release the pricing of the Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 luxury SUV. But experts expect the price point to be in the $200,000 to $300,000 range.
