Amid controversy surrounding Ferrari’s electric car launch, the first production chassis of the Ferrari Luce program, “Chassis 0,” is expected to fetch over $1.1 million at RM Sotheby’s 29th annual flagship Monterey auction, running from August 12–15, 2026.
Uniquely configured through the Ferrari Tailor Made program, the 2026 Ferrari Luce ‘Tailor Made’ boasts a colour-changing ‘Madreperla Semi-Gloss’ exterior finish, which transitions from green to violet depending on light intensity and angle.

Inside, Chassis 0 is wrapped in Le Mans metallic leather in Perla—a reflective leather created using selected Swiss hides and exclusive to the Ferrari Tailor Made program. The secondary interior elements are finished in Grigio Corvara instead of traditional black.

Additionally, Ferrari Luce “Chassis 0” is fitted with a dedicated plaque as well as exclusive finishing details, including dedicated wheels, bespoke brake calipers, and the Ferrari logo.
Like the base model, the 2026 Ferrari Luce ‘Tailor Made’ is powered by four (4) electric motors (one per wheel). This quad-motor setup produces 1,035 horsepower (772 kW) and a massive 990 Nm of torque.

While each standard Luce starts at $640,000 before bespoke options, RM Sotheby’s expects this one-of-a-kind, US-specced Luce EV to sell for twice that amount, with all proceeds from the sale going to support The Ferrari Foundation’s global educational initiatives.
“Its allocation to support Ferrari’s educational initiatives further enhances its significance, positioning it as a tangible expression of innovation, responsibility, and long-term vision for future generations. All proceeds will benefit The Ferrari Foundation, a recognized 501(c)(3) public charity, RM Sotheby’s said in its listing.
