Former BMW M Boss Shows Off M4 With M-Shaped See-Through Bonnet
Former BMW M boss who now heads production lines at Rolls-Royce, shows off M4 with M-Shaped see-through bonnet.
The impressive bonnet consists of a mix of M logo as well as two see-through slashes made out of plexiglass.
But BMW spokesperson confirmed to Carscoops that the bonnet is a special one-off that will not go on sale.
Last year, Markus Flasch assumed the position within the BMW Group as head of the production lines at Rolls-Royce, BMW luxury and upper class, after three years as the head of the BMW Group’s high-performance M unit.
During his term of office in the executive board of BMW M, the company rose to become the world’s leading provider of performance and high-performance-automobiles.
In a recent post on Instagram, Flasch showed off pictures of a custom-built BMW M4 with see-through bonnet that allows you to see into the car’s 3.0-liter TwinPower Turbo inline-6 engine. M4 is the high-performance version of the BMW 4 Series coupes and convertibles.
The bonnet consists of two carbon fiber stripes and in between them is a M logo made out of plexiglass which observers can see into the engine bay. The M logo also has an Illuminated BMW M Power lettering beneath it.
Flasch, who was heavily involved in the development of this M4, didn’t offer many details about the bonnet, apart from the question he asked : “Best hood in town?”, which accompanied his post.
But, don’t expect this impressive see-through bonnet to accompany future M high-performance cars as options, because a BMW spokesperson confirmed to Carscoops that the bonnet is a special one-off that will not go on sale.
