Hoodlums on Saturday invaded the residence of lawmaker representing Oyo Central Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Senator Teslim Folarin, carting away items worth more than N250 million.

According to reports, the looted items, includes 300 brand new motorcycles, 400 deep freezers and food items. They were meant to empower residents in 11 local government areas constituting Oyo Central Senatorial District.

The empowerment programme, which was reportedly postponed due to the ongoing protest, was scheduled to take place in December, 2020.

A short clip shared online captures the moment the hoodlums were running away with the stolen brand new motorcycles.

Speaking with journalists at the scene, the Senator’s elder brother, Yinka Folarin, said no fewer than seven persons have been arrested in connection with the crime.

He said :





“Most of the equipment had been looted before the arrival of the security men, while seven of them, identified by the residents, were arrested at the scene,”
