Jaguar Land Rover Design Boss Quits His Job
Jaguar Land Rover’s design boss is quitting. Massimo Frascella was on the payroll at Jaguar Land Rover for no less than ten years. No reason for his departure is given.
Massimo Frascella oversees all aspects of exterior and interior design, from concept to delivery. He has played a pivotal role in the design evolution of each of these much-loved British marques.
Having completed a transportation design degree at the Institute D’Arte Applicata & Design in 1997, Frascella started his career in Turin. He began his career at Stile Bertone, a design firm, and went on to work on some critical projects like the Lincoln Mercury at Ford and Kia Motors before joining Land Rover as Creative Studio Chief in 2011.
He steered the exterior design of models such as the Discovery Sport, New Discovery, New Range Rover Velar, New Range Rover Evoque, and the latest Defender. His wife, Amy, also works for JLR as the company’s materiality director, having joined the outfit in the same year as her husband.
It is not yet known where Frascella is going next, but he is currently working his notice period while bosses start the hunt for his replacement.
