Koenigsegg Gemera’s ‘V-8 Engine Option’ Cost $400k – Price Of Rolls-Royce Cullinan
Koenigsegg Gemera’s ‘Twin-turbo V-8 Engine Option’ cost $400,000, which is the price of a well-optioned Rolls-Royce Cullinan.
Koenigsegg will start production of the Gemera at the end of 2024, with customer deliveries in the first part of 2025.
Just 300 examples of the Gemera will be built, a megacar that reportedly starts at $1.7m before options like the V-8 option.

Swedish hypercar maker, Koenigsegg Automotive AB, has released more details about the production version of its first four-seater, the Koenigsegg Gemera, more than three years after the megacar’s initial debut.
Speaking during the unveiling of production version of the 4-seater Gemera this week, the CEO and founder, Christian von Koenigsegg, maintained that the new Mega-GT has room that comfortably seats four large adults and store their luggage.

In addition, he said alterations has been made to the version unveiled in March 2020, including a single 800 hp “Dark Matter” e-motor, which replaces the three electric motors in the prototype version.
Buyers can pay $400,000 or the price of a Rolls-Royce Cullinan to have the base 1400-hp 2.0-liter, three-cylinder twin-turbo engine replaced with a twin-turbo V-8 (HV8) option, for a total output of 2,300 horsepower.

“With the HV8 configuration, the Gemera boasts an astounding 1500 hp from the HV8 in addition to the 800 hp provided by the Dark Matter E-motor, resulting in a total of 2,300 hp and 2,750 Nm of torque – a new world record for a production car.”
“The Gemera HV8 is not only the most powerful and extreme production car on the planet Earth, with an astonishing 1,11 hp per kg, but it is also the most practical and user-friendly sports car ever created.” says Christian.

Koenigsegg will start production of the Gemera in the newly unveiled Gripen Atelier at the end of 2024, with customer deliveries in the first part of 2025.
Swedish luxury car company Koenigsegg will now build 300 examples (from the initial 350) of the Gemera, a megacar that reportedly starts at $1.7 million before options like the V-8 option worth $400,000 are added.
