Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service currently has 635 Operational Staff, including Non-Uniform Staff.
Established in 1972, the Fire and Rescue Service is primarily tasked with managing fire emergencies in Lagos State.
The Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service on Sunday 23rd October, 2022, held a road show to show off sixty-two (62) brand new firefighting apparatuses acquired by the Lagos State Government (LASG).
Fire apparatuses are automobile fire engines, a water tender, or ladder trucks that has been customized for fighting or extinguishing fire.
A tweet on Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service’s official Twitter page reads :
“We’ve hit the Streets of Lagos in a display of the newly acquired 62 State of the Art Fire Apparatuses by @jidesanwoolu”.
In another tweet, Jubril Gawat, the media aide of the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, wrote :
“UPDATE: The Hardworking Governor of Lagos State, Mr @jidesanwoolu has acquired 62 Brand New Fire Apparatuses for the State. So, we are doing Roadshow just to show you that Lagos Development is not stopping at all.
If you see us drive by, Holla at your boy 😁”.
Headquartered at Governor Road, The Secretariat, Alausa, Ikeja, the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service currently has 635 (Six Hundred and Thirty-Five) Operational Staff, including Non-Uniform Staff from various fields.
Established in 1972 by the Lagos State Law Cap.42 of 1972, it is primarily tasked with managing fire emergencies in Lagos State. The service is responsible for fire protection and community safety among residents and visitors across the state.
