LASPARK Transforms Outer Marina Stretch Of Lagos Island, Sanwo-Olu Praises Them (Photos)

The Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has heaped praises on the Lagos State Parks and Gardens Agency (LASPARK) for transforming the outer Marina stretch of Lagos Island.
On September 15, Governor Sanwo-Olu tweeted that, “Dirt, miscreants, and hoodlums have overrun and taken over the outer Marina stretch of Lagos Island. This was not only defacing that axis but was also a major cause for security concerns. It is also a serious health hazard for residents who live, work, and commute within Lagos Island.”

“We, therefore, mandated The Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps to do a complete overhaul of the stretch.
“LASPARK transformed it and gave it a new look. It is not only aesthetically pleasing but also gives residents the health benefit that comes with fresh plants. LASPARK will continue to maintain and tend the stretch of space.
“Lagos state is our collective responsibility. We all need to play our parts in making sure it remains a place we’ll always be proud to call home.”
With the task of the LAGESC completed, LASPARK moved in and transformed it. This has given it a new look which is not only aesthetically pleasing to the eyes but also giving residents the health benefit that comes with fresh plants.
The Governor further noted that the continuous maintenance of the garden would be carried out by the agency. “LASPARK will continue to maintain and tend the beautiful garden.
Lagos state is our collective responsibility and we all need to play our parts in making sure it remains a place we’ll always be proud to call home.”
