Meet The Nigerian Who Built His Own Luxury 3 Wheeler Cos He Couldn’t Afford A Polaris Slingshot

Meet the Nigerian who built his own luxury 2-seat 3 Wheeler because he couldn’t afford a Slingshot that is worth $19,999.
This luxury made-in-Nigeria “half car, half motorcycle” was manufactured with locally sourced materials.
It rides on car-type of tyres and with its top affixed to its doors, the entire body has to be lifted upward to have access to the car.
Three-wheeled vehicles having two tyres at the front and one at the rear like the popular Polaris Slingshot aren’t many on the Nigerian roads cos they are very expensive and it seems the makers don’t see Africa as a good market.
Despite the fact that most of us can’t afford to buy one, with the Polaris Slingshot, for example, starting at $19,999 — except for the few super rich Nigerians — we still dream to get behind the wheels of the luxury three-wheeler some day.
But while some of us anxiously wait, with the hope of getting the chance to drive our dream cars, few Nigerians take a step further to build theirs. One of such persons is a Nigerian (unnamed) who manufactured his 3 wheeler using locally sourced materials.

First shared by a user on Facebook, this “half car, half motorcycle”, just like any other luxury 3 Wheelers, sits low to the ground.
On the outside, it rides on car-type of tyres and unlike the doorless and roofless Slingshot, its top is affixed to its doors — meaning its entire body has to be lifted upward to have access to the car.
Inside, the locally-made roadster features only two seats, a steering wheel, a gauge cluster, a gear stick and buttons, which may likely control features like the front and rear lights as well as windshield wiper.
The powertrain wasn’t revealed, but the luxury three-wheeler will likely be powered by a V-twin motorcycle engine driving the single rear wheel.
