Next Level Turns A Jeep Gladiator Pickup Truck Into a 6×6 Beast (Photos)
It seems that the 6×6 trend is now booming with different tuning companies getting involved with the latest being Next Level. The California-based tuner company has transformed a Jeep Gladiator pickup into a 6×6 beast. This conversion is the first from the company and in line with its branding, the company wants to take various vehicles to the “next level of looks, fun, and extremeness.”
According to the company, this build is using a 4.88 gear ratio for optimal acceleration. It also has a full-time four-wheel drive, while the six-wheel drivetrain is available on-demand for certain off-road applications. Besides featuring one extra axle, the Gladiator 6×6 has an extended 8-foot (2.44 m) bed. In addition, it comes with retractable side steps and 20-inch wheels shod in chunky rubber. Optionally, the Gladiator 6×6 can be fitted with a front winch and additional lights. Black leather upholstery with white contrast stitching decorates the Gladiator 6×6 cabin. The tuner’s logo can be found on the seats and headrests.
Buyers have three options for engines, none of which, for the moment, are V8s. Your cheapest option is Jeep’s workhorse 3.6-liter V6 making 285 hp and 260 lb-ft. You can upgrade to the turbocharged 2.0-liter four making 270 hp and 290 lb-ft. You can also spec the 3.0-litre turbodiesel making 375 hp and 470 lb-ft. That seems like it’ll push those six wheels with gusto. The transmissions of the Gladiator 6×6 is 8-speed automatic.
