Nigerians Will Be Able To Use Their 2024 GMC Hummer EV SUV To Charge Other EVs And Power Homes
‘Power Station generator’ option on GMC Hummer EV SUV and pickup truck will be able to charge other Electric Vehicles and power homes.
The Hummer all-electric SUV, just like the pickup variant, will be available in four different versions.
This includes the $105,595 Edition 1, $99,995 EV3X, $89,995 EV2X and the $79,995 EV2.
US automaker GM on Saturday unveiled the 2024 GMC Hummer EV SUV, an 830-horsepower all-electric luxury ‘supertruck’ that will become available in the market in 2023.
The five-passenger Hummer all-electric SUV will be available in four different versions, including the $105,595 Edition 1, $99,995 EV3X, $89,995 EV2X and the $79,995 EV2.
When the Hummer EV goes on sale in 2023, buyers will be able to order their SUV will a ‘Power Station generator’ option, a feature that will allow the truck to power or charge external devices.
Just like other portable power devices, the SUVs Power Station generator uses an inverter to convert the DC energy for the SUVs battery into AC.
And appliances that will be able to take juices from the eco-friendly SUV’s standard J1772 charging port includes similar electric vehicles. Owners in Nigeria will also be able to use their SUVs to power their homes.
The SUVs output socket of up to 25 amps or 3.0 kW will be able to power 120-volt (level 2 charging) items while the 6.0 kW/240 volts (level 2 charging) will be used for charging EVs and to power homes.
When the pickup variant of the GMC Hummer EV also goes on sale, customers will also have the privilege to order the truck with the Power Station generator option.
