PCNGI : 50,000 CNG vehicles currently in use, over 250 conversion centers and 55 operational stations established.
The initiative, supported by $500m in investments, aligns with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

The Presidential CNG Initiative (PCNGI) has revealed that more than 50,000 CNG-powered vehicles are currently in use across the country, adding that the initiative has seen the establishment of over 250 conversion centers and over 55 operational stations.
The Program Director and Chief Executive of the PCNGI made known during the official commissioning of the Greenville Liquefied and Compressed Natural Gas (LCNG) facility and the formal launch of PCNGI operations in Yola, Adamawa State, on June 3, 2025.

“The facility is the first of its kind in Nigeria’s North East region and marks a significant step toward providing cleaner, more affordable energy,” PCNGI said in a statement.
The event also featured the state-wide rollout of the PCNGI Conversion Incentive Program, aimed at making compressed natural gas accessible and affordable to citizens.

Supported by $500 million in investments, the initiative aligns with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda to industrialize Nigeria through the use of domestic gas resources.
Dignitaries present at the event included the Deputy Governor of Adamawa State, Professor Kaletapwa Farauta, the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Gas), Rt. Hon. Ekperikpe Ekpo and the Chairman of Greenville.
