Porsche Shows Next-Generation Panamera Interior Ahead Of Launch

Porsche is warming up the mood for the arrival of the all-new Panamera. The Germans are keeping the appearance of that new Porsche Panamera under wraps for now. The brand does give the outside world a glimpse of the interior of the new Porsche Panamera.
The first generation Porsche Cayenne was received with a slightly raised eyebrow at the beginning of this millennium, and the first generation Panamera also caused some doubtful faces. The Cayenne and Panamera have now become an indispensable part of the Porsche range. The Cayenne has been in its third generation for years, and the Porsche Panamera is about to enter its third generation. Images of the interior of the new Porsche Panamera have now been released.
To the right of the uncovered and curved screen with a diameter of 12.6 inches, we see one of the two displays that belong to the infotainment system. One of the two? Certainly. There is a second infotainment screen right in front of the passenger. You can select a driving mode, as before, simply via the Drive Mode button on the steering wheel. The placement of the automatic lever is striking. Or rather, the lack of an automatic lever. In the steeply rising center tunnel, there is no longer a selection stick to choose the direction of travel. In the new Panamera, there is a small lever to the right of the steering wheel to control the transmission. The space that has become available in the center tunnel is used by a combination of a screen, touch-sensitive buttons, physical touch buttons, and an equally tactile round rotary and push button with which you operate the climate control, among other things. More striking? Certainly. The new Porsche Panamera will be the first to be available with what Porsche calls a ‘leather-free’ interior.
