Rolls-Royce Spectre Completes 1.5-Million Miles of Testing Around The World, Simulating 400 Years Of Use - autojosh

Rolls-Royce Spectre concludes 2.5 Million-km testing programme, simulating more than 400 years of use.

During the testing programme, all-electric Spectre was exposed to temperature extremes of -40°C to +50°C.

Over 50,000 total driven hours expended to simulate how clients will use the Rolls-Royce Spectre in their daily lives.

Completion of global testing will follow client deliveries, which will commence in the 4th quarter of this year.





The Rolls-Royce Spectre, the British luxury marque’s genre-defining all-electric super Coupé, has now concluded its 2.5-million-km (1.5-Million Miles) testing programme, simulating more than 400 years of use.

The automotive assessments by Rolls-Royce engineers represents over 50,000 collective driven hours and it includes technical road testing and Lifestyle Analysis to simulate how clients will use the Spectre in their daily lives.

“To attain its final, perfect form, Spectre has passed through our engineers’ ‘finishing school’ – and in so doing, completed the most demanding testing regime in our brand’s history”, says Rolls-Royce CEO, Müller-Ötvös.





During the brutal testing, the Spectre endured temperatures ranging from -40°C to +50°C in conditions spanning from Arctic snow and ice to deserts, high mountain passes and the world’s megacities.

The two-door EV Roller packs a 106 kWh battery pack, which allows the three-ton Rolls-Royce Spectre Coupe to drive 323 miles (520 kilometres) on full charge.

Dr. Mihiar Ayoubi, Director of Engineering, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, also said :

“Such a remarkable car requires a remarkable testing programme and I am enormously proud that Spectre has now completed what has been the most arduous schedule ever conceived for a Rolls-Royce motor car.”

The completion of Rolls-Royce Spectre’s 2.5-million-kilometre global testing programme will follow client deliveries, which will commence in the fourth quarter of this year.
