Back in August, Italian sports car maker, Automobili Lamborghini took the covers off the all-new 2025 Temerario at a glitzy event at the annual Monterey Car Week in California – with new the super sports car quickly becoming the star at the Motorsports Gathering.

The newest addition to Lamborghini’s lineup – which translates to ‘reckless’ – is a perfect replacement for the long-lived Huracan, which debuted in 2014 and has been on sale since second quarter of 2014.

But how does the Temerario compares to the Huracan in terms of price and specifications, the latter which has been the greatest-selling super sports car in the history of the Sant’Agata Bolognese-based carmaker.

Price

Lamborghini hasn’t announced the pricing for the 2025 Temerario, but the all-new V8-hybrid sports car is expected to start around $300,000 and go on sale by early 2025.





In comparison, the 2024 Lamborghini Huracan starts at $249,865 and goes up to $348,773 – depending on the trim and options.

Engine

The Temerario is equipped with an hybrid powertrain that combines 789 horsepower twin-turbo V8 engine with three electric motors, to give a total output of 907 horsepower.

On the other hand, the Huracan uses the 5.2-litre naturally aspirated Audi/Lamborghini V10 engine of the facelifted Gallardo, which develops 602 horsepower in the rugged Huracan Sterrato model.

0-to-62mph

The Temerario will be able to blast from zero to 100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 2.7 seconds, shaving two-hundredths off the time of its predecessor, which will do this in 2.9 seconds.

Top-speed

Lamborghini claims that the Temerario can reach a top speed in excess of 340 km/h (210+ mph), which is 15 km/h (8mph) faster than Huracan’s 325 km/h (202 mph).
