Shipment Of 150 Nissan Patrol SUVs By Rail Marks A First For The UAE’s Automotive Logistics Sector - autojosh

Shipment of 150 Nissan Patrols by rail marks a first for the UAE’s Automotive Logistics Sector, a first by a dealership. 

With this partnership with Etihad Rail Freight, Al Masaood Automobiles became the first automotive dealer in the country to do so.

Al Masaood Automobiles is the authorised distributor for Nissan, INFINITI, and Renault in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, and Al Dhafra region. 





Al Masaood Automobiles and Etihad Rail Freight, a subsidiary of Etihad Rail, have completed the first-ever rail transport of finished passenger vehicles, in a first by an automotive dealership in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The milestone saw a shipment of 150 units of Nissan Patrol luxury SUVs transported from ports on the Eastern Coast to the dry port at the Industrial City of Abu Dhabi (ICAD).

With this partnership with Etihad Rail Freight, Al Masaood Automobiles, the authorised distributor for Nissan, INFINITI, and Renault in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, and Al Dhafra region, became the first automotive dealer in the country to do so.

“We are proud to be the first automotive dealer in the UAE to work with Etihad Rail Freight on transporting finished vehicles. It is a strong example of what can be achieved when national infrastructure and private sector capabilities come together with a shared focus on progress and long-term value,” said Irfan Tansel, the CEO of Al Masaood Automobiles.





Also speaking on the successful rail shipment, Omar Alsebeyi, the CEO of Etihad Rail Freight, said :

In addition offering a lower-emission alternative to traditional road freight, Al Masaood Automobiles says that this milestone demonstrates how rail can be integrated into modern, end-to-end supply chains.
