This Gadget-filled BMW 750iL Starred In The James Bond Movie 'Tomorrow Never Dies' - autojosh

This gadget-filled BMW 750iL sedan starred in the 1997 James Bond Movie ‘Tomorrow Never Dies’.

It was shown off at the Techno Classica as part activities marking the 40th anniversary of 7-series in 2017.

Though badged as the 750iL, the car model supplied by BMW for Tomorrow Never Dies was actually a 740iL.

It featured re-inflating tyres and a Cable cutter that is capable of cutting any cables suspended in the car’s path.





Other features includes tear gas emitters and a Caltrops dispenser that dispenses spikes in the path of pursuing vehicles.

The 750iL also has remote control mechanism which allowed James Bond to retrieve it by way of a mobile device.

The futuristic BMW 750iL sedan that starred in the 1997 James Bond movie ‘Tomorrow Never Dies’ was one of seven (7) special 7-series shown off at the Techno Classica as part activities marking the 40th anniversary of this model in 2017.

Though badged as 750iL, the car model supplied by BMW for Tomorrow Never Dies was actually a 740iL.





On receiving the BMW, Q, the man behind the famous Bond gadgets, noted that the car came equipped with several security systems, including Machine Guns’ and ‘Missile Launchers’.

The BMW 750iL also featured tyres that re-inflates itself when punctured and a Cable cutter — which emerges from beneath the BMW bonnet emblem — and capable of cutting any cables suspended in the car’s path.

Other features includes a Tear Gas emitters — hidden behind the wheel arches — and a Caltrops Dispenser, that is capable of dispensing dozens of spikes in the path of pursuing vehicles to shred their tyres.

Just like Bond’s BMW Z8 that featured in the 1999’s “The World Is Not Enough” film, this futuristic 750iL has remote control mechanism, allowing James Bond “Pierce Brosnan” to retrieve it by way of a mobile device.
