Toyota Prado riddled with bullets as Unknown Gunmen kills DG SEDI ‘Prof. Ndubuisi, security officer, along Enugu Portharcourt highway.

Preliminary investigation into the incident has commenced.

Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi has also visited the scene of the incident.

Unknown Gunmen have shot the Director General of the Science and Equipment Development Institute (SEDI), Enugu, Prof. Samuel Ndubuisi dead in his Toyota SUV.

Professor Samuel Ndubuisi was on Wednesday evening shot several times by the yet to be identified gunmen along Enugu Portharcourt highway. Also, the police attached to him was gruesomely killed. His driver, who sustained gunshot injuries, had been taken to a hospital, where doctors are battling to save his life.

He was travelling in a Toyota Land Cruiser PRADO SUV with Registration number 26D02FG when he was killed by the gunmen. Enugu State Police command spokesman, Daniel Ndukwe, who confirmed the incident said information surrounding Ndubuisi’s killing was still sketchy.

He however added that preliminary investigation into the incident has commenced.

Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi has also visited the scene of the incident.

The scientific Equipment Development Institute (SEDI), located in Akwuke in Enugu South Local Government Area, is an institute under the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI)
