Toyota Sienna Celebrates 25 Years Of Existence With An Anniversary Edition

Toyota’s only minivan in the United States the Sienna clocks 25 years and to celebrate, the Japanese automaker is offering an Anniversary Edition model. Since its introduction in 1998, the minivan has grown in leaps and bounds to remain the top-selling vehicle in its class. Without further ado, let’s get to know about this limited edition model.

For starters, the 25th Anniversary model is based on the XSE trim, which is the sportiest trim in the range. In addition to the standard kit, Toyota adds features usually found on the top-tier Limited trim as well as model-specific exterior and interior trim.

Only 2,525 units will be built, and all of them will be equipped with a hybrid powertrain. The Sienna is only available as a hybrid, which would have been frowned upon a mere decade ago. These days it’s one of Sienna’s unique selling points, helping it capture 35 percent of the minivan segment.

All 25th Anniversary Edition features a Celestial Silver or Wind Chill Pearl exterior with black accents and dark 20-inch wheels. The model also sports black badging and mirror caps as well as roof rails and auto-dimming mirrors with puddle lights.

Inside, you get more Limited trim features like black leather-trimmed seating with silver stitching. The front seats are heated, ventilated, and have a memory function. The steering column also features a memory setting. The rear seats get a set of ottomans for “enhanced onboard comfort” while illuminated door sills are featured for the front doors along with “25th Anniversary” floor mats and a keyfob cover that also has silver stitching. Finally, it will also come with Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 which includes pre-collision and pedestrian detection, lane departure warning with steering assistance, stop-and-go radar cruise control, lane tracing assist, and road sign assist.

The 25th Anniversary Edition will be available with either front-wheel or all-wheel drive. Pricing hasn’t been announced, but it will be available this year.
