Toyota To Continue Production Of The GR Corolla Circuit Edition For 2024
Toyota has announced that it will bring the GR Corolla Circuit Edition back for the 2024 model year. Only 1500 examples of this trim were made available in 2023, and according to a brief press release, Toyota says customer demand shifted the company’s strategy. “When Toyota GR fans speak, we listen, and our plans are to increase GR Corolla volume and continue offering the Circuit Edition as part of the GR Corolla lineup in 2024,” a Toyota spokesperson said in a release.
The Circuit Edition builds on the base Core Edition with a unique hood, a forged carbon roof, a rear spoiler, and front/rear Torsen limited-slip differentials. Suede and synthetic leather seats, heated front seats and steering wheel, a JBL stereo, and a leather-wrapped shift knob are also standard. All cars come with a turbocharged three-cylinder engine, six-speed manual transmission, and rally-bred all-wheel drive. Though tiny, the 1.6-liter three is mighty, producing 300 horsepower and 273 pound-feet of torque.
A 12.3-inch digital multi-information display also needs to be mentioned, along with the Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 safety and driver-assist suite. The finishing touch is a one-year National Auto Sport Association complimentary membership, which includes a free High-Performance Driving Experience
As a reminder, the 2023 Toyota GR Corolla comes in three trim levels: Core, Circuit Edition, and Morizo Edition. We already knew the Morizo Edition would carry into the 2024 model year, but the Circuit Edition was not yet confirmed, until now.
