Toyota Named World’s Most Valuable Car Brand, See Top 10
Toyota, 7th in Interbrand’s 2020 Best Global Brands overall list, named the world’s most valuable car brand.
8th on the overall list is Mercedes — maintaining its position as the most valuable luxury automotive brand.
Japanese automaker Toyota is once again the world’s most valuable car brand, according to the latest study conducted by Brand Finance.
In its 21st edition of the annual Best Global Brands ranking, Toyota, with an estimate USD51.595 billion, stood its ground in the 7th place in the overall ranking — below Apple, Amazon, Microsoft, Google, Samsung and Coca-Cola.
Following Toyota on the overall ranking is German automaker, Mercedes-Benz. Mercedes, with an estimated brand value of USD49,268b, sits at number eight on the overall ranking. The automaker maintains its position as the world’s most valuable luxury automotive brand.
Bettina Fetzer, Vice President Marketing at Mercedes-Benz AG, says :
“The entire Mercedes-Benz team is proud to once again be among the top ten ‘Best Global Brands’ this year. And to defend our position as the world’s most valuable luxury automotive brand for the fourth year in a row”
“The key to our success is our brand’s consistent focus on the needs of the customer, for whom we create extraordinary product and brand experiences using a wide range of digital and physical formats”.
Meanwhile, Mercedes rival, BMW, with a brand value of USD39.756 billion, remained the third most valuable automotive brand (and 11th overall).
Other car makers recognized on the 2020 Best Global Brands list includes :
Honda (4th, with a brand value of USD21.694 billion); Hyundai (fifth, with USD14.295 billion; Tesla (sixth, with a brand value of USD12.785 billion; and Ford in seventh, with USD12.568 billion.
Following US automaker Ford are three brands in the Volkswagen Group, including Audi (8th), Volkswagen (ninth) and Porsche in tenth (55th overall).
