Uber Rider Charged N5 Million For A 20 Minute 5 Mile Ride

I am sure you know what it feels like when cheated by a cabman, conductor or bike man. But I bet you’ve never seen anything like what Uber did to this Canadian. 

On 8th of December, the man took an Uber cab on short ride which shouldn’t cost him more than N4,400 (15 Canadian Dollars) but to his utmost surprise, he was charged N5,110,000 (18,518.50 Canadian Dollars). 

To add insult to injury, Uber was said to have claimed that the bill was accurate but they eventually backed down and admitted their error and refunded the rider after much pressure.  

“There was an error and we have provided a full refund. We sincerely apologize to this rider for his experience” Uber said.
