Ugly Pictures From The Accident Scene That Claimed 30 Lives In Ebonyi

The recklessness of public transport vehicles or negligent of our governments toward bad roads have more harms to Nigerians. A ghastly car accident has claimed not less than 30 lives in Ebonyi State. The accident happened to be one of the heart-breaking accidents that occurred in the country this year. The accident occurred on the Akaeze Bridge of the State.
Reacting to the unfortunate incident, Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi State paid a visit to the place. On Saturday, he visited the Akaeze Bridge, the scene of the tragic accident that reportedly claimed the innocent lives.

The Governor who was visibly saddened by the ugly incident with misty eyes ordered a full investigation. He warned drivers to always exercise caution while plying routes.

At the scene of the incident, were personnel of the Nigerian Police, Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC. Also present were the National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA, and Ebonyi State Emergency Management Agency.
Umahi sympathized with the families of the deceased, saying, “Sorrow fills my heart over this ugly incident. It is indeed devastating but we cannot question God.
“I sympathize with the families of those that are involved in this ugly incident. I urge them to look unto God in this trying time as only Him can close the vacuum.
“I equally call on all the security agencies to as a matter of urgency, expedite action in unveiling the reason behind the ugly occurrence. I encourage drivers to always exercise caution while plying routes.”
Reports had it that the bus carrying 32 passengers plunged into the river on Friday night.
Sympathizing onlooker rescued some persons alive. They also retrieved the bodies of 15 dead persons between Friday and Saturday.
