Volkswagen-owned CUPRA And FC Barcelona Renews Global Partnership Until 2029 - autojosh

Spanish Football Club, FC Barcelona, and Volkswagen-owned CUPRA have renew global partnership until 2029.

CUPRA will continue to be the club’s Official Automotive and Mobility Partner and Official Car for the next five seasons through to 2029.

Players who attended the renewal event were welcomed by the CUPRA DarkRebel along with the CUPRA Raval and the CUPRA Tavascan.





Spanish Football Club, FC Barcelona, and CUPRA have renew global partnership until 2029. The renewal of the agreement was announced by the president of FC Barcelona, Joan Laporta and the CEO of CUPRA, Wayne Griffiths, at an event held at CUPRA headquarters.

Robert Lewandowski along with players invited for the renewal event were welcomed by the CUPRA DarkRebel, the showcar that the brand presented at the IAA 2023 in Munich, along with the CUPRA Raval and the CUPRA Tavascan.

With their renewed global alliance, Volkswagen-owned CUPRA will continue to be the club’s Official Automotive and Mobility Partner and Official Car for the next five seasons through to 2029.





In addition to maintaining its relationship with the senior men’s and women’s football teams, CUPRA will also become the official sponsor of the FC Barcelona basketball, futsal, handball and roller hockey teams until June 2029.

“We are very happy to extend our agreement with CUPRA until 2029 and expand it to all professional sports at FC Barcelona,” Joan Laporta, the president of FC Barcelona, Joan Laporta said in a statement.

“The world of sports and cars share the challenge of always chasing the horizon in search of success. From this conviction, we will work together in the coming years, with a young, leading, global and committed brand as CUPRA,” he added.

The CEO of CUPRA, Wayne Griffiths, added :

“The renewal of our global partnership means we can continue challenging the status quo on the pitch and on the road, and reinforce our ambition to make CUPRA a truly global Spanish brand.”
