VW Begins Selling Wallbox Home Charger Ahead Of Launch Of Its First-ever Electric Car
Volkswagen (VW) begins the sale of Wallbox Home Charger ahead of launching its first-ever electric car, the ID.3.
The availability of this charger in your garage means can charge up your car overnight.
3 versions of the Charger are priced between ₦174k and ₦371k. Those prices excludes the cost of installation and destination cost to Nigeria.
Ahead of launching its first-ever electric vehicle for the masses, the ID.3, German automaker Volkswagen has started selling the ID. Charger for quick and easy home charging for electric vehicles.
The wallbox can be ordered online or from Volkswagen dealers in eight European countries.
The box was developed with the ID.3 and the ID. electric cars in mind. It can also be used to charge all other electric cars with a Type 2 connector.
The availability of this box in your garage means you can charge up your car overnight.
You don’t even have to queue up at the public charger if your EV has enough range to cover your daily driving needs.
There will be three versions of the ID. Charger, all priced between €399 and €849 (₦174k and ₦371k). Those prices excludes the cost of installation and destination cost to Nigeria.
All versions will have a charging capacity of up to 11 kilowatts, permanently mounted Type 2 charging cable, and integrated DC residual current protection.
At the customers request, VW will hook them up with local electricians who will handle the task of installing the charger.
Only the base model is currently available. The other versions will be available later this year.
