Watch Electric Mercedes-Benz G-Class Do 360-degree ‘G-Turn’ At 2025 Eko Drive
G-Turn : Watch electric Mercedes-Benz G-Class do 360-degree ‘Tank Turn’ at this year’s 4th edition of the Eko Drive.
Developed for off-roading, the 360-degree turn allows the SUV to do a full 360º turn without moving at all.
Zero-turn maneuver achieved through its four electric motors — which allows each wheel to be driven independently.
Also at the Eko Drive, dozens of luxury cars were on display, including Mansory Rolls-Royce Cullinan and Ferrari Purosangue SUV.

Car enthusiasts from around the country on Sunday December 14th 2025 took part at this year’s 4th edition of the Eko Drive – a supercar exhibition – held at the Alliance Française de Lagos/Mike Adenuga Centre
One of the highlights at the event was the showcase of the “tank turn” feature of the Mercedes-Benz “G 580 with EQ Technology” (electric G-Class), drawing a fervent response from automobile enthusiasts.

Developed specifically for off-roading, the 360-degree turn, which Mercedes-Benz calls the “G-Turn”, allows the electric G-Class to do a full 360º turn without moving at all – the same way a tank turns.
The EQG was able to pull off this zero-turn maneuver, thanks to its four independently controlled electric motors — which allows each wheel to be driven independently.

“G-TURN must not be used on public roads,” Mercedes said back in 2024 after releasing a video of four G-Class prototypes doing “tank turns” at the 2024 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas.
Also at the Eko Drive exhibition, dozens of luxury cars were on display, including head-turning Mansory-tuned Rolls-Royce Cullinan, Ferrari Purosangue, Porsche 911 GT3 RS, Porsche 911, Mercedes-AMG G63, Lexus LC 500, Audi RS 7 Sportback, Mercedes-Maybach S-Class and a Jaguar F-TYPE.
