With 2.1 Million Sold, The Toyota C-HR Marks Ten Years On The Market

The Toyota C-HR marks ten years since the premiere of the model that changed the rules in the C-SUV segment. Since its introduction in 2016, more than two million copies have been sold worldwide, of which more than 1.2 million were sold in Europe.
Recognizable for its daring design, dynamic driving and advanced hybrid drives, the C-HR attracted a new generation of buyers and became one of Toyota’s most successful models in Europe. More than half of the owners cite its appearance as the main reason for the purchase.
The second generation, introduced in 2023, was developed and manufactured in Europe for European customers. It brought an even more pronounced design, digitized interior and more advanced hybrid and plug-in hybrid drives.
The offer is led by a plug-in hybrid version that enables up to 66 kilometers of electric driving according to the WLTP standard, or about 100 kilometers in city conditions. The model also uses an advanced geo-fencing system that automatically manages the use of electric and hybrid drives to optimize energy consumption.
Toyota has paid special attention to sustainability, so the new C-HR uses more recycled and animal-free materials while reducing CO₂ emissions during production.
For the 2026 model year, Toyota has further improved the C-HR. The Mid+ trim package features new 18-inch alloy wheels and a refreshed interior, while the sporty GR SPORT version is now available with all powertrain options.
