The first-ever 2022 BMW M5 CS luxury track sedan has arrived as the fastest and the most powerful production car that BMW has ever made.

The first-ever BMW M5 CS is finally here and the all-new track sedan has arrived as the fastest and the most powerful production car that BMW has ever made.

Based on the M5 Competition and designed to rival the Mercedes-AMG E63 S, the M5 CS boasts of several distinct features. This includes a carbon fiber roof, hood, rear spoiler, front splitter, rear diffuser and mirror caps.

Inside, the track sedan comes with lightweight front and rear bucket seats that is lined with the combination of black Merino leather and Mugello red accents.

The seats also have a Nurburgring imprints in their headrests. But one of the coolest aspect of the track ready new M5 CS is the absence of a third rear seat.

There are several driver settings to choose from. These includes the M Mode button that switches between three setups; “ROAD”, “SPORT” and “TRACK”. Just pressing the M Mode buttons toggles between ROAD and SPORT modes, while a long hold of the button takes you to TRACK mode.

The M5 CS is only available in three colours. These includes the standard Hatch Grey metallic as well as Frozen Hatch Grey and Frozen Deep Green metallic.

Powering the M5 CS is M5’s 4.4 liter twin-turbocharged V8, churning out 627 horsepower, against the M’s 617hp,while its torque rating of 553 lb-ft remains unchanged.

The M5 CS will do a 0-60 mph in 2.9 seconds and to 0 – 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 3.0 seconds. It has a top speed that is electronically limited to 305 km/h (189 mph).

The BMW M5 CS is expected to arrive in the second half of the year. It will be limited to one model year only – 2022.

The German manufacturer hasn’t said anything yet on the number of units to be produced. But the fast sedan has a MSRP price of $142,000, which is $38,500 more than the base M5.
