22 Vehicles Impounded At Night Clubs For Violating Coronavirus Preventive Measures In Oyo(Photos)
Oyo State Task Force has impounded 22 vehicles at several Night clubs for violating coronavirus preventive measures.
As part of measures to curb the spread of Coronavirus in Oyo, the states COVID-19 Security and Enforcement teams has impounded 22 vehicles during its special night operations on Sunday March 29th.
The vehicles were impounded at several club houses and public places across the state capital, Ibadan.
Some of the Club houses that was visited by emforcement team included the Platinum at Awolowo Road, and Hexagon, Samonda.
Others includes the Latitude, Samonda; Mauve 21, Ring Road; Ventura, Sango and Shanty’s club, Pleasure Summit, GRA; and Cimola Hotel, Mokola.
The special night operation was aimed at enforcing compliance at club houses and public places in the state capital.
Commenting on the raid, the Executive Chairman, OYRTMA, Dr Akin Fagbemi, said :
“The Oyo State COVID-19 Security and Enforcement subcommittee is made up of Oyo State Road Transport Management Agency and other security agencies and we have begun a special night monitoring and enforcement of state government’s directive aimed at curbing the spread of coronavirus among residents of the state, particularly through transport operators, night clubs and other public places.”
While dispersing people at the club houses, the Special squad urged residents to comply with the state government’s directives aimed in reducing the outbreak.
These includes measures like social distancing, regular washing of hands and public gatherings, that should not be more than 10 persons.
