Authorities in Karachi, the largest city in Pakistan, have recovered an ultra-luxury Bentley Muslane sedan, worth $320,000, which was allegedly stolen in London and then shipped to 5,000 miles into the country.

The Collectorate of Customs Enforcement (CCE) confirmed that the UK’s intelligence agency tipped off Pakistani authorities that the stolen vehicle is parked in a house in Karachi’s Defence Housing Authority (DHA) area.

The heist was only uncovered by Collectorate of Customs Enforcement (CCE) after receiving a tip-off from UK’s intelligence agency, Pakistani authorities said.

“A credible information was received from a national agency of a friendly country that a grey Bentley Mulsanne, V8 Automatic, VIN Number SCBBA63Y7FC001375, Engine Number CKB304693 was stolen from London and their intelligence agency indicated that the said vehicle is supposed to be parked at 15-B, South 10th Street, DHA, Karachi,” Federal Board of Revenue’s (FBR) Collectorate of Customs said in a statement.

According to reports, the British intelligence helped locate the Bentley Mulsanne sedan after using advanced tracking system to track its position with its built-in tracking system.

After the agents raided the house housing the Bentley, they found that the British-made sedan now wears a Pakistani registration number plate and a white coloured handmade number plate on the front.

When the Bentley was finally recovered, after verifying the VIN and chassis number on the luxury sedan matches that of the stolen car, the team were forced to push the pricey car onto a recovery vehicle after failing to find its keys.

“Due to non-availability of the key of the said vehicle, arrangements were made to lift the vehicle by car carrier. The recovered vehicle was loaded on a car carrier for taking it to ASO HQ-NMB Wharf for the further completion of legal formalities,” said the board.

According to GEO TV, the new owner of the Bentley disclosed to investigation officers that the vehicle was sold to him by another person. Two person,  including the seller, were reportedly arrested.
