Ibom Deep Seaport: Akwa Ibom Delegation Visits South Korea

A delegation from Akwa Ibom State, led by members of the Ibom Deep Seaport Committee, is now in Seoul, South Korea.
They are in South Korea to advance Governor Udom Emmanuel’s vision for the seaport’s quick fulfillment.
Dr. Emmanuel Ekuwem, Secretary to the State Government, Mr. Akan Okon, Commissioner for Economic Development and Ibom Deep Seaport, and Mrs. Mfon Usoroh, Chairman of the Implementation Technical Committee, are among the delegation’s members.
They are part of the Nigerian delegation visiting Seoul, South Korea, for the Maritime Sector and Harbour Development program.
Ambassador Ali M. Magashi, the Nigerian Ambassador to South Korea, is in charge of the Nigerian contingent.

The purpose of the visit, according to the Commissioner for Economic Development and Ibom Deep Seaport, is to assist in the development of the Ibom Deep Seaport.
The visit will also allow Akwa Ibom State to benefit from the growing bilateral connection between Nigeria and South Korea, particularly in the areas of marine security and economic growth, according to Commissioner Akan Okon.
“Having invested so much in the Ibom Deep Seaport, Governor Udom Emmanuel’s government will continue to look for measures to guarantee that the Ibom Deep Seaport is as useful to the Akwa Ibom people as possible when it is finally built.”
“On our part, we’ll continue to work relentlessly to drive Governor Udom Emmanuel’s ambitious vision for Akwa Ibom State,” Mr Akan Okon said.
