The Hyundai Kona Electric has been a part of the company’s lineup since 2018, but it recently had a mid-life refresh that added more flair, connection, and technology. It’s still one of the most appealing fleet cars available.
The organisers of the Fleet News Awards remarked of why the Hyundai EV was chosen as the winner: “The Kona Electric is a wonderful automobile that has become a driver’s first choice in a competitive sector.” It is the most efficient in terms of miles per kilowatt, resulting in a significant increase in real-world range. It literally leaps off the fleet choice list since it is roomy, has a large boot, and a trendy interior.”
TUCSON was also Highly Commended in the Mid-Size SUV category at the Fleet News Awards, making this the latest fleet honor for Hyundai’s lineup.
“We’ve been on a journey over the last few years to evolve our fleet services into a class-leading offering in accordance with the cutting-edge range of fleet-friendly vehicles we now have,” said Ashley Andrew, Managing Director, Hyundai Motor UK.
The Hyundai Kona is Nigeria’s first locally made electric vehicle, built by Stallion Group Automobile in Ojo, Lagos. It was officially unveiled by Lagos Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu in November 2020.
