Minister of Comm. Prof. Isa Ali Pantami Hosts DG NADDC, Jelani Aliyu, Drives Hyundai Kona EV
Minister of Communications and Digital Economy Prof. Isa Ali Pantami host DG NADDC, Jelani Aliyu.
During the visit, Professor Isa Ali Pantami drove the Nigerian Assembled Electric Vehicle, the Hyundai Kona EV.

The Director General of the National Automotive Design and Development Council (NADDC) Jelani Aliyu has paid a working visit to the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Professor Isa Ali Pantami at the Digital Economy Complex in Abuja.
The visit was primarily aimed at identifying areas of synergy between the automotive sector and digital technology. The meeting also had in attendance Dr Vincent Olatunji, the National Commissioner, National Data Protection Bureau, and other senior management staff of the Ministry.



During his presentation Mr Jelani Aliyu gave an overview of the NADDC and its ongoing projects across the nation, including the ongoing construction of 18 training centers.
When the training centers are completed, Aliyu explained that Nigerian youths will be trained in different areas of the automotive sector, which include computerized and embedded automotive ICT systems, and related Vehicle Electrification technologies.


In his response, Professor Pantami congratulated the DG for his achievements at the NADDC. He also thanked the Honorable Ministers of Industry, Trade and Investment, Otunba Niyi Adebayo and Ambassador Mariam Katagum for giving the NADDC all the necessary support to come this far.
During the visit, the Honorable Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Professor Isa Ali Pantami also drove the Nigerian Assembled Electric Vehicle, the Hyundai Kona EV.
