New Director General Of National Automotive Design And Development Council (NADDC) Assumes Office
Mr Oluwemimo Joseph Osanipin, the newly appointed Director General of the National Automotive Design and Development Council (NADDC) has assumed office on Tuesday 17th October, 2023.
The new NADDC boss replaces automotive designer, Jelani Aliyu, who held the position of Director General since his appointment in 2017 by ex-Nigerian president Muhammadu Buhari.
Until his appointment as the new DG NADDC, Mr. Oluwemimo Joseph Osanipin was the Chief Operating Officer of indigenous Electric Vehicle Maker, JET Motor Company.
Unnamed Individuals Donates Toyota Sienna, Korope To Their Local Police Divisions
The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) have appreciated the efforts of some unnamed individuals and organizations who donated vehicles to their local police divisions to help enhance the capacity of the officers.
The two vehicles donated to the Nigeria Police Force divisions are Toyota Sienna Minivan and a Suzuki Every bus, an 8-seater Mini shuttle bus popularly known as Korope.
While sharing pictures of the vehicles donated to a police station on his official X page, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, Police Public Relations Officer for Lagos State Command, joking asked his followers to guess the vehicles donated.
“Guess the vehicles they donated. You guessed right : Sienna and korope. ?”
Redline Rail Will Bring Lagos Closer To A Smart City – Governor Sanwo-Olu
Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has revealed that Lagos is still on course to hit the UN smart city vision by 2030. Sanwo-Olu made this known at the 2023 annual conference and 36th Annual General Meeting of the Nigerian Institution of Structural Engineers.
The Governor, who was represented at the conference by the Managing Director, Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (LAMATA), Engr. Mrs. Abimbola Akinajo, was presented a paper entitled “The Lagos Metro System Structures”.
Speaking at the event, Akinajo informed that LAMATA follows the highest standards and internationally approved practices while building infrastructure for the Lagos Rail Mass Transit (LRMT) Blue and Red Lines.
“Get New Number Plate, Faded One Is A Risk To The Vehicle And The Owner” – FRSC Advises Motorists
The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has advised Nigerian motorists to visit any State Licencing Offices to apply for new and legible number plates to replace the faded ones on their vehicles.
Speaking on the importance of seeing clearly the details on a number plate, the FRSC said :
“Number Plates are designed for security and safety of the vehicle. It helps easy retrieval of information regarding the vehicle and the owner in the event of theft, criminal acts or emergencies. Faded Number Plate is a risk to the vehicle and the owner.”
The Agency noted that the use of harsh materials such chemicals and detergents as well as other harsh objects to wash them are some of the reasons why license plate, also known as vehicle registration plate, fades easily.
