2022 G-Class Festival Sees G-Wagon Enthusiasts Take Their SUVs Via Forest, Mountains, Mud Holes
2022 Mercedes-Benz G-Class Festival sees G-Wagon enthusiasts take their off-roading SUVs via forest, mountains and mud holes.
This year’s G-Class meeting took place in mountainous landscapes of Montenegro from July 29th to August 1st, 2022.
It included several trips across gravel roads and unpaved paths as well as through the forest and the mountains – mud holes.
G-Class at this event amongst the 400,000+ that have rolled off Magna Steyr’s plant in Austria since production started in 1979.
This years Mercedes-Benz G-Class Festival 2022 saw G-Wagon enthusiasts from around the world take their favorite off-roading machines down to mountainous and impressive landscapes of Montenegro.
Montenegro, which means a Black Mountain, is a country in Southeastern Europe located a part of the Balkans and bordered by five countries, including Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Croatia.
This year’s program, which took place from July 29th to August 1st, 2022, includes several trips across gravel roads and unpaved paths as well as through the forest, mountains and mud holes.

The event location for the G-Class meeting 2022 was near Zabiljack, in the middle of the Durmitor National Park. Recalling this year’s spectacular experience on Instagram today, Mercedes-Benz wrote :
“Breathtaking mountains and impressive landscapes, it all comes down to the G-Class Festival. Montenegros diverse and unspoiled natural landscape is an excellent playground for all G-Class enthusiasts.”
The Mercedes-Benz G-Class that took part at this year’s event are amongst the over 400,000 that have rolled off Magna Steyr’s plant in Graz in Austria since production started in 1979. At this massive plant in Austria, Magna Steyr produces around 100 Mercedes-Benz G-Classes a day in two shifts five days a week.
The 400,000th example of the luxury celebrity and sports stars favourite SUV rolled off at the Magna Steyr’s assembly line in Austria in December 2020.
