Twincustom Nigeria Ltd To Launch 3 Customized Vehicles This December
Twincustom Nigeria Limited is set to launch (3) customized Nigerian-built vehicles dubbed the Vintage Modern Bespoke Vehicles at the Silverbird Galleria between 9th and 11th December, 2022.
The 3-day event themed “Boosting Local Content ” will have automotive journalists in attendance, including representatives from Autojosh – Nigeria’s authoritative car blog.
The event will feature the launch and sale of these vehicles on Friday December 9th while privileged viewing will be held between Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th December.
Customs Seizes Over 47 Vehicles Worth ₦2.4 Billion
Nigerian Customs Service Rapid Response Squad HQ also announced the seizures of over 47 smuggled brand new vehicles with a Duty Paid Value (DPV) of ₦2.4 billion.
While briefing newsmen, the Coordinator of the anti-smuggling Unit, Assistant Comptroller Jack Okpabi, said that the government is losing so much money much to smuggling activities.
Jack Okpabi noted that 36 of the seized vehicles have been forfeited to the FG while the remaining is still under investigation. He vowed to frustrate the activities of the smugglers whom he said are trying to bring down the economy of the country.
EFCC Begins Auction Of 649 Forfeited Vehicles, 15 Ships On Tuesday
The EFCC on Friday said it will commence the physical inspection and auction of 649 forfeited vehicles and other assets on Tuesday December 6th at its offices across nine states.
The forfeited items were subject of final forfeiture orders in accordance with its Establishment Act, 2004, Public Procurement Act, 2007 and the Proceeds of Crime (Recovery and Management) Act, 2022.
Some of the vehicles up for auction include SUVs, sedans and trucks from brands like Toyota, Lexus, Mercedes-Benz, Honda, Acura, Mitsubishi, Volkswagen, Audi, Nissan, Infinity and Mazda.
Maxus Autos Launches T60 Pickup Into The Nigerian Market
Earlier in the week, Maxus Auto brand debuted in Nigeria with the launch of the T60, a Pickup Truck that will be assembled at Mikano Motors’ auto assembly plant in Ogun State.
Maxus is the latest addition to the Mikano International’s Motors division and it joins the ZNA (Rich6) and Geely brands in an exclusive partnership with Mikano International.
The Nigerian-assembled T60 Pickup Truck comes in 3 gasoline variations – Comfort, Elite and Luxury with Manual and Automatic options.
